Financial rules matter, imo. Unless you are mega-loaded to the extent that even the most profligate are immune to disaster, you need financial rules to ease your passage through life.

What is the key rule that you apply to the management of your finances? Just one, not a list..

Primary rule in chez moi, is to actively manage every aspect of our finances like a well run business. Domestic financial management is not a game it is a serious undertaking.

Just got my living room newly skimmed.
Once the heating was on, omg the humidity!
I keep having to wipe the windows: I guess ideally I should leave them open, but it's too cold, I think I'll close the door before going to bed and live a small window gap open.
I have a dehumidifier running, the plasterer says it's ok.
I'll probably leave it running all night.
Never again plastering in winter, it's a summer job for sure!

On FleaBay now. This looks very like a 48/49 Rudge Clubman with the frame in good original paint. It also has the right stem, but the wrong bars, and cyclo 3 speed. wheels may also be original (dunlop SS ?). Standing at £30 at the time of writing, with 2 days to go. I've finally found a frame that I can restore to make a 28" wheel touring bike, and we're having trouble removing the old components. In particular the chainwheel screw thread , were we would normally insert the removal tool, is completely gone.

The frame is from VSF Fahrradmanufaktur and is a rare early butted example, made from Chromoly, so it's worth fighting for.

How would others on the does anyone have a recommendation how to remove the chainwheel? I can get the outer two gears off..

I've purchased a new pair of SKS mudguards to replace the ones with the Genesis as I've managed to break the rear in half somehow with a stick or stone probably. Slight issue is the original rear mudguard has a conduit moulded in for the dynamo rear light cable and new one doesn't. Any ideas on attachment of cable securely attached to the inside arch appreciated.

I've just read about successful trials of a pill sized camera which is swallowed then travels through normal channels for approx 8 hours. It takes 2 photos per second which are transmitted to a gadget worn around the waist.
It tracks possible cancer and crones desease etc.
I have never needed a colonoscopy but read/heard that the whole thing is, to say the least, unpleasant.

Some may recall that got Long Covid.. it must be 4+ years ago now. It was confirmed after 2 spells in hospital.
The ways it affected me (it varies among sufferers) were/are ......
1. Loss of balance. Falling off bike and simply falling while walking.
2. Severe loss of strength, particularly in my legs. I couldnt stand from sitting without assistance and had to 'haul' myself up the single door step. For 6+ months i used a strollator and even in the house used a zimmer frame.

I currently own a sonder camino gravel bike with 650db wheels running 50 mm tyres. I do a mixture of road and light off road and want to go to narrower and slightly smoother tyres. If I was to swap to a 700c wheel size to open up to a wider range of tyres selections, would it be a straight swap for the wheels or would they not fit?
